The Aix-Marseille institute for creativity and innovations (InCIAM) is supporting two types of action under this call for RESEARCH (Workshops/Initiation) projects:
1/ Workshops aimed at helping to set up national or international multidisciplinary research networks linked to creativity and/or innovation, with a view to responding to national/international calls for projects.
2/ Research projects described as “initiation”. As with the workshops, the aim of funding these projects is to encourage the emergence of new scientific proposals and collaborations that are interdisciplinary and linked to creativity and/or innovation, with a view to developing larger-scale research projects. The institute’s support may constitute possible joint funding for new projects with no previous funding. “Initiation” research projects can also aim to foster links between research and training on creativity and/or innovation.
InCIAM’s “flash” call for proposals provides support and financial participation from the institute for interdisciplinary projects or actions.
The beneficiaries are researchers, teacher-researchers, doctoral and postdoctoral students who are members of InCIAM and who are working on Creativity and/or Innovation.
The projects submitted must be in line with the institute’s priority fields of research. They will aim to enhance understanding of the dynamic, determining and contextual factors influencing creative and innovation processes, or foster the development of creative solutions and innovations tailored to the needs of individuals and organisations.
Each project must fall within one or more of the fields of research and/or application defined by the institute, in particular:
1/ Creativity and innovation (global or cross-disciplinary approaches)
2/ Healthcare
3/ Education
4/ Work
PhD students will be integrated into a research unit affiliated to InCIAM. Depending on the nature of the project, joint management with a teacher-researcher or researcher from another member unit of the institute is possible and even encouraged.
Throughout their doctoral contract, doctoral students will concentrate their efforts on their thesis work. However, they may be given an additional mission related to the institute’s activities.
The aim of these calls is to encourage new collaborative projects linked to creativity and/or innovation, by supporting new innovative projects of excellence between the institute’s laboratories (minimum of two laboratories). Priority is given to projects that make use of interdisciplinary skills. The objectives are to strengthen and develop collaborations between the institute’s laboratories and academic partners or partners from the socio-economic and cultural world, in particular with the support of our centre of expertise, advice and consultation, CréaLab.
